TAYLOR SLOWLY, RELUCTANTLY, opened his eyes to a narrow slit, just enough to gauge the time. Zero-dark-thirty, he judged. He’d slept at least three hours.

He hadn’t slept more than an hour at a time since that last mission. It didn’t matter how hard he trained, how much he drank or even how hard he focused. He hadn’t slept worth a damn.

Was he losing it? First the mission, then Mouse, now Cat? What the hell was wrong with him?

Either his hand fisted against her butt was disturbing or even in sleep she’d sensed the panic storming through his troubled thoughts, and was once again coming to his rescue. Cat gave a purring sort of sigh so deep that the long strands of her hair tickled his chest.

Like the Kitty Cat that he often called her, she slowly, sinuously, stretched, her back arching delicately. Her body brushed against his, her flat belly rubbing over his erection, sending the blood pouring out of his brain, away from worries, and thankfully making his dick the stiffest part of his body again. Thank God.

Her nipples burned a path over his chest as she shifted closer, making his mouth water to taste those pebbled buds again. She angled her leg over his, her calf sliding across his knee, her heel skimming a tantalizing trail up the back of his thigh.
